NOTE: Due to a recently passed law, your citation and driver license numbers must be completely accurate in order for your completion to be successfully sent to the Florida HSMV and Clerk of Court.
ADI is a 12 hour course usually required by the state of Florida for excessive points accumulated on a person's Florida Driver License. It may also be court ordered in some cases.
Why take the class live rather than online?
While we offer both live and online versions of ADI, we strongly recommend the classroom setting. The live class offers class participation in a group setting, group quizzes that are not graded and no final exam that must be passed. The live class also does not require 12 hours of reading and answering questions in an essay format.
The most convenient component of the live class is that you receive your certificate at the end of your class. This will allow you to meet the requirements of the state of Florida or court in the easiest and quickest way.

Purpose of Advanced Driver Improvement Course
The Florida Safety Council offers this DHSMV Florida state-approved class designed for individuals with multiple traffic offense as well as other high-risk behaviors who have had their licenses suspended or revoked. The main focus of the Advanced Driver Improvement course is to review and change the driving behaviors which have caused the traffic offender to receive traffic tickets, become involved in traffic crashes, or activities resulting in the suspension or revocation of their Florida License. Our Advanced Driver Improvement course is approved by the State of Florida.
The Advanced Driver Improvement class may be court-ordered by a Florida judge.
The Advanced Driver Improvement course may also be required under Habitual Traffic Offender or Points guidelines of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).
Advanced Driver Improvement Course Goal
The goal of this ADI course is to examine the relationship between driving, holding a Florida driver license, and fulfilling basic needs.
Course Content:
- Understanding the basic needs common to all humans.
- Define the needs fulfilled by having a driver’s license.
- Learning to accept responsibility for student’s own actions.
- How to establish and maintain self-control.
- Identify the cause(s) of violations and poor driving records.
- Review own driving record and identify the advantages of maintaining a good driving record.
- To establish and maintain “safe driving” behaviors and attitudes.
